She was then offered a place in the ensemble in mid 2015, and since then Margaret has performed in a wide range of repertoire at the Staatsoper including Mozart, Wagner, Strauss, Massenet and Gluck. In 2014 Margaret won the Vienna State Opera Award from Opera Foundation Australia which brought about her relocation to Europe. She will begin her freelance career in the summer of 2022 by performing Carmen at the Longborough Festival in England.
She is currently engaged as a full time member of the Wiener Staatsoper ensemble where she performs and covers much of the lyric mezzo repertoire including Hänsel, Charlotte, Siebel, Octavian and Waltraute. Margaret Plummer is an Australian Mezzo Soprano living in Vienna, Austria.
